Dear Valued Customer,
We hope that you and your families are staying safe and following the safety guidelines provided by the CDC and our Federal, State, and Local government leaders. The safety of our customers and our team members is our top priority.
We are providing some helpful hints to stay safe and cautious through this difficult time:
Precautions for opening any type of package safely
Make sure packages are left at the door. A lot of delivery services do this anyway, but it can't hurt to write it in the special instructions or leave a note at your door for any deliveries.
Ask the delivery person to leave the package and knock, so they leave before the package is retrieved. That's good social distancing!
According to the National Institutes of Health, the virus can live on cardboard, but a new study suggests that it disintegrates quickly on cardboard, unlike plastic or steel. So, deliveries in cardboard boxes are unlikely to spread the disease.
If you are ordering prepared food for delivery
Ask the delivery person to deliver the food outside.
Experts say once you bring it in, plate the food and microwave for thirty seconds. That's long enough to kill viruses and bacteria, although it is unlikely that you're going to get exposed to the virus this way. Discard all containers, including the bags your food came in, then wash and sanitize your hands before plating and heating your food.
We'll be reaching out periodically with more tips and to aid in keeping our customers, your families, safe through these challenging times.
On behalf of our team, we thank you tremendously for your support during these challenging times.
